This is a recorded class on zoom so the quality of the video can vary
Materials list:
PAPER:
Any paper you like to draw on, in any size, either loose or in a sketchbook. At least ten sheets. I personally like to use Indian cotton rag paper.
DRAWING MATERIALS:
Pencil, pen, charcoal, ink, or whatever your preferred medium is. If you can, have a selection so you can experiment with different techniques.
A PIECE OF PREPPED WOOD:
This can be a cradled wood panel in any size (available from most art shops, or Amazon), the backing wood from an old frame, a sheet of ply, or an old bowl/ tray. It’s important to paint the wood with a layer of white acrylic paint at least one day before the workshop, so that it has time to dry before the class.
PAINT & BRUSHES:
Black acrylic paint and a selection of brushes (I like to use a mix of pointed and flat, in a variety of sizes). Make sure to include a teeny tiny one for adding detail.
A SHARP TOOL:
A cocktail stick is ideal.
KITCHEN ROLL/ TISSUE:
Always good to have handy, just in case!
