Materials list:
Boards to paint on x2 Mdf (6mm), hardboard or plywood. Size approx. 30x30cm
Brushes - typically I use cheap, flat brushes in various widths, 5mm, 10mm, 20mm.
Compressed hard charcoal pencils. John uses ‘Kuelox charcoal pencils’ - if you can’t get one don’t worry – they can be hard to source!
Other diverse mark-making tools which you may have to hand; coloured pencils, chalks, pastels, crayons etc.
Acrylic paints. Typical basic palette may consist of Titanium white, Payne’s Grey, Davy’s Grey(Winsor & Newton), Light Blue Permanent (Liquitex), Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow.
Fixative Spray
Hairdryer
Paper for sketching
Palette for mixing (glass sheet or a paper plate)
Rags, paper towels, water.
