Materials list:

Tetrapak carton, the main thing to look for on the outside is the word ‘aseptic’. I use discarded oat milk cartons

An etching needle or any sharp tool like a nail or darning needle. These last two can
be inserted into a cork to make them easier to hold but an etching needle is relatively inexpensive and very easy to use -

Intaglio printing ink, I recommend any black from Akua. You cannot use relief printing ink for intaglio printmaking but any intaglio ink can be used for relief printing -

A small jar -VERY IMPORTANT- it must have little bobbles all around the base. Old herb/spice jars usually have these

Scissors and a wooden spoon

Any weight paper up to around 120gm. Anything heavier makes it much harder to get a good print by hand. I use Masa or Hosho paper but plain printer paper can work well too -

Old toothbrush

Discarded netting from any fruit or vegetables from the supermarket/grocers or traditional scrim/tarlatan -

Newsprint or old telephone book pages, not strictly necessary
Plant sprayer to dampen your paper and a clean towel to blot the paper with

Freezer paper or wax paper
Cotton buds, not strictly necessary but helpful for highlights
