Oil pastel and oil stick drawing with Lucy Camp, 25th May 2027

25th May 2027, 8-9.15pm BST

Join artist Lucy Camp for a moment of drawing, observing, and play. Using oil sticks, oil pastels, or your preferred drawing materials, you’ll observe a floral still life and approach it with curiosity and wonder. Through a series of contour drawing exercises, including drawing without looking (blind contour), you’ll loosen up and embrace your own hand and style, discovering more about how you like to observe and draw in your own way.

Lucy approaches every subject with curiosity, joy, and experimentation. You’ll watch as she lets her hand wander across the page, capturing movement and character rather than holding too closely to accuracy. You’ll also explore color choice, referencing books, images, or your own studies to think about how you choose color combinations in your work.

All skill levels are welcome. Come ready to loosen up and have fun with your drawings.

Once you have bought the class you will be sent the materials list in a separate email. Please download the file and check you have everything you need for the class.
